Thanks for your email and reflections. I’m sure your right that the state in which people are when they take these tests makes a big difference, and it would be good to know more about this. Anything you can discover would be really helpful. So do please continue to think about it, and try out the tests under different conditions. I know that these are very artificial ways of looking at the phenomena, but the problem is to find a scientific test that can give valid results. If you can think of any way of doing the test in a better way, do let me know.
